AdSense for Search

Along with using Google AdSense to provide paid targeted ads to your web site, Google offers another way to help your web site become more profitable.
Google's AdSense for Search allows you to put a Google search form on your web site so users can either search the web for more information or to search Google to help find information elsewhere on your web site. In essence, AdSense for Search is identical to Google's AdSense for Content, just with a searching utility.
Web masters earn cash for every time a web visitor submits a search query to Google from their web site and if they click a sponsored link. A simple search won't make it profitable; the user needs to click on one of the sponsored links on the results page.
Any time a user submits a search query to Google, it tracks it under your Reports. The report shows you how many searches were completed and how many of those resulted in ad clicks.
If you are not currently a Google AdSense user, you need to click below to setup a free account before you can make money through AdSense.
An example of AdSense for Search is shown below. If you provide a search term and press Search, it opens Google in a new browser window and shows the results page. The sponsored ads on the right side of the results are what users need to click to earn you profit. It's that simple and they never leave your web site. Setting Up AdSense For Search
When creating your search box, there are a number of configurations that need to be made. Some of the configurations include the language and the geographic location of your web site. This information is used to help target the sponsored ads on the search results.
Select A Search Box
Choose whether you want the search query to be for general searches or for searching your own web site. You can set AdSense for Search to only search pages across your web site so your visitors never leave your web site to find the information they are looking for.
Safesearch will protect their searches against adult related results such as pornography and drugs.
Select the background color and the general size and layout of your Google search box.
Style Palettes
Through the preset style pallets, you can change the appearance of your Google search box. If none of the preset colors will work well with your web site, you can use a custom color palette to use virtually any color you need. It is a good idea to color coordinate the Google search box to the rest of your web site so it's not intrusive.
Channel
Channels are an advanced feature that is generally used by web masters who have more than one web site using Google AdSense. A channel is used as an identifier for a group of pages (or a web site) which you want to create special reports for. If you had two web sites, you'd normally assign a channel name to each so you can track the traffic and profits of each web site independently.
If channels are not used, all statistics from any Google ads that you have will be grouped together in one large report. Channels are a great way to see which pages of a web site are performing better than others.
Your Google search box code
Once you are done creating the search box, the code will be available in the textbox found in this section. Copy the code to your clipboard and paste it into the HTML of your web site where you want the ad to be seen.
