AdSense for Content is the setup screen for Google advertisements.  This is where you pick the ad type, sizes, colors, themes and channels you want the Google ads to be.

If you don't already have a Google AdSense account, click below to setup an account for free to start making money through your web site.

Ad Type

Picking the most effective ad type is not an easy task and will generally fall upon trial and error until you get it right.  Some pages may perform better with graphic ads while others may be better suited for text link advertising. The ad type doesn't affect how large the advertisement(s) will be.  Whether you have a graphic, text, or graphic/text setup, they can all be presented as the same size.

There is one benefit to choosing text link advertisements. Depending on your color scheme and placement, the text link advertisements can resemble your normal web site links. Web visitors may be more likely to continue clicking if they don't realize it's an advertisement. Many web masters choose text advertisements so they can mask it within their web site.

Ad Layout

The ad layout is where the Google Ad size is chosen. There are many different shapes and sizes to choose from so you're bound to find one that matches your web page perfectly.

To view all available ad layouts, click [here] to be brought to Google's layout page.  You may need to be logged into your Google AdSense account for this link to work.

The larger your ad is doesn't necessarily mean more people will click it.  The key is to find a size and layout that fits your current web page's look and feel.  You don't want your ads to be too intrusive.  Ads that perform best are those that match your web page template and doesn't look out of place.  Start small and experiment until you find an effective ad layout that works for you.

Color palettes

Color themes are here to match the Google ads with the current color theme of your web site.  Click through the preset themes until you find one that matches. If none of preset color themes are acceptable, click the link entitled Manage color palettes... near the bottom of the color section.

You are able to manage any background or text color imaginable. If a theme doesn't match your site well enough, make your own!

Channel

Channels are an advanced feature that is generally used by web masters who have more than one web site using Google AdSense.  A channel is used as an identifier for a group of pages (or a web site) which you want to create special reports for.  If you had two web sites, you'd normally assign a channel name to each so you can track the traffic and profits of each web site independently.

If channels are not used, all statistics from Google ads that you have will be grouped together in one large report.  Channels are a great way to see which pages of a web site are performing better than others or which web site is performing best.

Your AdSense Code

Once you are done creating the ads for your AdSense campaign, the code will be available in the textbox found in this section.  Copy the code to your clipboard and paste it into the HTML of your web site where you want the ad to be seen.
